Post: 40 Startups Advance in Entrepreneurship World Cup Global Quarter-Finals

Round 2 of the Semi-Finals will be broadcast live on March 11, 7-10:30 pm Riyadh Time (GMT+3). Five will be selected to advance to the final stage. Round 1 was broadcast on March 10, with five selected to advance.

After the conclusion of the Round 2 Semi-Finals, GEN will officially announce the full list of 10 startups that will advance to pitch at the Global Finals broadcast on March 12, 4-7:30 pm Riyadh Time (GMT+3). 

In addition to competing for the grand $300,000 prize, startups will also vie in specialized categories based on sector (including tech and space and sustainability and environment) and impact (including social impact, sustainable development goals and women-led companies). 

The Entrepreneurship World Cup, co-hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority in Saudi Arabia, Monsha’at, is one of the largest and most diverse pitch competitions and support programs for up-and-coming founders. Every year, entrepreneurs compete for a share of US $1 million in cash prizes and millions more worth of investment, support and publicity.   

Since launching in 2019, EWC has attracted more than 400,000 registrations from 200 countries and connected founders with over US$3 million in cash prizes and another US$256 million worth of perks and free support and services.
